Mark Murphy has been in real estate for over 24 years. When he was 18 he was left a trust fund of $5000 from his late mother, of which when he took it to the bank a savvy banker advised him to deposit the funds, request a LOC for the same amount, and then go buy a house. Mark purchased his first townhome at an early age and was blessed to have earned $50,000 in rapid appreciation from 2002 to 2004. He used the money to travel the world and upon his return had enough to reinvest into get back into the market.
In 2013, he started a company called StrataWork.ca which assists strata corporations in managing their business affairs. In 2015, he and a group of partners started Stronghold Management Inc in Abbotsford. He was an acting director until regretfully one of the managing partners passed away and the business was closed. Mark currently continues to be active in the real estate industry having worked for PeeverConn Properties Inc(SuperSuites.ca), Royal Lepage Brookside Realty Ltd, and now owns and runs his own brokerage Murphy’s Property Management.
At his core he is a family man, a father to 4 kids and is married to his wife Lisa. Real estate began as a hobby and although there have been successes, equally there have been hardships. In 2008, Mark and his father were a team and were invested in 4 single family homes. Regretfully his father passed away in late 2008 at the exact same time the U.S. subprime housing crisis crushed the market. For several years he struggled to hang on and through those tough times had to learn a lot about real estate and why things happen the way they do.
Today, Mark continues to invest in Real Estate and being much wiser and seasoned, decided to offer his service to others and help them achieve their financial and life goals – “Real estate investing is about your family, and I’m going to teach you how to protect that!”
Lisa was born and raised in Surrey BC where she graduated Highschool and was working as a conveyancer for a law firm for many years. Lisa is an incredibly hard-working wife to Mark, Mother of four kids and Two cats. Her role is paramount to the Murphy home as she makes sure the whole family is on track with all their chores, sports, housekeeping, breakfasts, lunches and dinners – and just when you think she can’t handle more she works doing bookkeeping alongside her husband Mark at Murphy’s Property Management Ltd.
Mark wrote this Bio and will see how long it takes Lisa to see it and approve it or amend it. “Love you Hunny with all my heart – I appreciate you and everything you do for me, us and the kids.”

Born and raised in the island nation of Mauritius, Patrick grew up bilingual, fluent in both English and French. From an early age, he gravitated toward tools rather than toys, showing a natural inclination for hands-on work and craftsmanship. This passion led him into the world of construction at a young age, where he began learning the trade alongside his father—a seasoned contractor who ran a successful residential construction business.
Under his father’s mentorship, Patrick gained invaluable experience and developed a deep understanding of the industry. When his father retired, Patrick stepped up to lead the family business, Pat Construction, which he ran with dedication and skill for 20 years.
In 2015, Patrick embarked on a new chapter, relocating to Canada to expand his expertise. He pursued studies in Engineering Construction, followed by specialized training in Construction Trades Techniques and Plumbing. His commitment to excellence culminated in earning his Red Seal certification, officially becoming a Journeyperson Class plumber.
Patrick’s journey reflects a lifelong dedication to building—both structures and a legacy of craftsmanship.

I’m a serial entrepreneur with a strong appreciation for responsibility, relationships, and long-term stewardship. I moved to Canada in 2022 to build a stable future for my family and to continue applying my business and operations experience in a people-focused environment. I’ve been married for 12 years, and family plays a central role in how I approach both life and work.
Before relocating, I spent over a decade in India building and operating multiple ventures across manufacturing, services, and operations-driven businesses. Being an owner taught me accountability — managing budgets, coordinating vendors, resolving issues quickly, and standing behind outcomes. Those same principles guide how I support clients’ properties today: with care, structure, and follow-through.
I’ve traveled extensively, with Italy standing out as my favorite country for its culture, food, and pace of life. At home, my comfort food will always be butter chicken and parathas. I’m also a proud father to a seven-year-old daughter who plays minor hockey, which has deepened my connection to the local community and reinforced the value of teamwork.
Alongside my role at Murphy Property Management, I currently operate a small pressure washing business, further strengthening my hands-on understanding of property care and service delivery.
I’m currently preparing to complete my property management licensing exam as part of my continued professional growth.
Nicola Freebairn was born and raised in West Vancouver to a family who had a long-standing involvement in law. Her mother was a Legal Assistant, her grandfather and uncle founded one of the largest and oldest law firms in Vancouver, and another uncle was a B.C. Judge. Growing up in such a family presented many opportunities for conversations ‘all things law’, which intrigued Nicola and before she had graduated from high school, she found herself working as a Conveyancing Secretary in North Vancouver. Later she went onto work as a Property Manager in Prince George, followed by a Bylaw Enforcement Officer for the District of North Vancouver.
When she met and married her husband, she chose to work from home by managing his construction business, as well as raising and homeschooling their eight children. Over the years Nicola began to develop her own real estate investment business, which included condos, bare land, single family homes, duplexes, four plexes, and her latest project a mobile home park. Disputes are often unavoidable between Landlords and Tenants, and when such disputes arose for Nicola, she drew upon her legal and property management experience to prepare and present her own Arbitration cases. It is her hope that she can offer her expertise and assistance to clients of Murphy’s Property Management who may find themselves in dispute situations. Although family and business take up the majority of Nicola’s time (including the addition of eleven wonderful grandchildren) when she can get away for a bit you will most likely find Nicola riding her horse in the mountains.
